Power the Security Office generator, solve the first clearance grid, restore the Power Room, distract the Mimic with a wind-up mouse, then earn Repair clearance and use the hand crank to reach the Manager's Office.
1. Power the Security Office
From the Welcome Show exit, follow the corridor past the window overlooking the locked generator. Continue to the storage area and pull the orange generator cord beside the Security Office until the door opens. Enter, press the receiver on the desk, and listen to the Dispatcher.
Insert the Data Diver into the clearance machine beside the office door. The cursor sweeps across a three-by-three grid; use the row controls to touch every 0 tile before the cursor returns. For this first grid, leave the cursor on the bottom-to-middle sweep, then move it to the top row on the return sweep. This changes all three rows to 1 and grants Security clearance.
2. Restore the Power Room
Leave the office and return to the locked Power Room door near the generator window. Use Security clearance, pull the lever, and start the pipe puzzle. Rotate the hexagonal tube tiles so the molten flow travels from the lower-right nozzle to the lower-left nozzle. The timer resetting is harmless; use the lever below the reservoir to start the flow immediately once the path is connected.
Return to the Security Office and press the receiver again. Open the Inventory machine with the Data Diver, select Tools, and retrieve the Hand Crank.
3. Open the Main Hall route
Before leaving, crank open the nearby present if you want the first collectible, then insert the Hand Crank into the gate to the right of the Security Office. Turn it until the gate rises.
The Mimic appears in an elephant costume in the next corridor. Do not try to outrun it in a straight line. Hide in a locker when it has line of sight, then wind a mouse toy and throw it into the fenced area. While the Mimic investigates the sound, use the Data Diver on the Main Hall lock and wait until the door finishes opening.
4. Earn Repair clearance
Take the elevator in the Main Hall lobby to the second floor. The shutter ahead needs another crank, so take the left corridor and open the Security-level door. Use the clearance machine in the small office and solve the four-corner grid by moving diagonally from the top-left corner to the bottom-right, then reversing across the opposite diagonal. This grants Repair clearance.
Retrieve the Hand Crank from the nearby gift box if it is not already in your inventory, then return to the central grate. Go through the large wall opening and turn the crank on Jackie’s box. Jackie emerges and Arnold pulls the crank free.
5. Reach the Manager's Office
Insert the new crank into the shutter and turn it. When the shutter jams, crouch underneath and use Repair clearance on the door at the end of the hall. In the office, step over the debris and rev the generator in the back-left corner.
Jackie breaks free and attacks. Stay behind the generator until she knocks down the wall beside you. As soon as the rubble falls, leave the corner through the opening and drop into the tunnels. Continue with the Jackie in the Box Chase walkthrough.
